Kevin's shot form

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYY42cNiyAo

Angle 1:
-Is the ball brought straight up on the shooting hand side? No kind of still working on it
-Are fingers elbow, knees, and toe in the same plane?  Yes kind  of too late tho to get in position
-Do the shooting fingers finish pointing down towards your forward foot? Yes if you pause you could see it
-Does your elbow finish near or above your eyes? Yes of course
-Does the off hand come off the ball just before release? Hard to tell but it comes off close before the release

Angle 2:
-Is the wrist cocked before release? No not really
-Is the footwork consistent?  No
-Is the ball kept in front of the body? Yep
-When the ball is released is the elbow near or above the eyes? Yes

Angle 3:
-Is the shooting hand directly behind the ball with the two shooting fingers in the middle? Yes!
-Is the off hand at 9 or 3 o'clock? Kind of
-Is the ball released with one hand? Yes definitely
-Is the off hand vertical at release? Or is it rotated towards the ball? What would this mean? It's vertical at release, this means I'm not shooting the ball with two hands.  No Im not shooting the ball with two hands my off hand comes off

I need to improve on getting ready for position like cocking the ball before i shoot, but when i shoot preety much the ball rotates and high enough.   I need to jump more higher and put more elevation in my jump shot to make it pure.

  1. I think that you have to try and shoot with the ball in front of your body and not shoot from behind your head.
You also have to work on using your legs and not just your arms.

  2. Hi Kevin,
watching your shot I've noticed that you bend your legs after the ball is brought up, bringing the ball up as you bend your legs will cause you to have a better shot. In other words better momentum.

Another thing I've noticed in your conclusion is you state what you need to improve on but how are you going to improve on it, things such as pull up jumpers and form shooting.

  3. Hey Kevin
#1- I think cocking the ball back over your head kind of creates a sling effect, throwing off all your shot mechanics.

#2- In the videos its seems as you are mostly shooting with your arms with minimal support from the legs.
