Owen shot analysis

Angle 1:   Straight on - Camera right under basket.
                      - Ball is brought up in the middle of my body.
                      - My finger is not but my elbow, knee and toe are in the same plane.
                      - My shooting fingers are pointed down towards my feet.
                      - My elbow finishes at my eyes.
                      - My hand comes off the ball before the release.

Angel 2:   Rear view - Camera is directly behind shooter.
                     - Yes my shooting hand is directly behind the ball with two shooting fingers in the middle.
                     - My off-hand is at 9 o'clock.
                     - The ball is released with one hand.
                     - The off-hand is vertical when released then goes towards the ball.

Angle 3:  Side view - Camera on shooting hand side.
                     - My wrist is cocked before the release.
                     - The footwork is consistent.
                     - The ball is kept in front of the ball.
                     - My elbows are near the eyes.

The following components i need to improve on is bringing up the ball on the side of my body instead of the middle. Also i need to finish my release all in the same plane with my finger on the shooting side not the middle of the body.

  1. Hi Owen,
As I've watched your video i realized you don't bend your legs, bending your legs will make it easier to shoot the ball.

    1. Another thing I've noticed is the ball is brought up in the middle of your body instead of your shooting side, form shooting will help you create a habit on shooting on your shooting hand.
